About 2 weeks after Joy and I got back from our honeymoon in Hawaii we were watching African Queen on TV. Joy got up to go to the bathroom, and I paused the movie. I got a little annoyed with her after a few minutes because she seemed to be taking her time. When I went to ask if everything was OK, she came out of the bathroom with a pregnancy test in her hand, and said "baby, I'm pregnant."
The shock at first was like a ton of bricks hitting me in the face, but that quickly passed and we shared in the excitement of first finding out we were going to be parents. We waited for Joy to take anotehr test to confirm, then we started calling family and friends to tell them the good news. It was nice to share in the excitement with the people we love.

Joy and I have recently been working on the baby's room. Since we found out it was a girl we decided to go with a yellow color, and we got an amazing deal on a crib and changing table for her room. Joy has been adding her own touches as well, painting a large tree in one corner and adding butterfly paintings and mirrors over the changing table. We are super excited to finish the room and rock the baby in the rocking chair Joy's dad refinished for us to match the room.
We have an appointment for July 13th to do a 3d ultrasound and once we get over the excitement I'll add the pictures and maybe video of our little girl to the web page. The images are pretty cool and I cant wait to share them!
